Project Overview
Following our initial success at the campus, the school invited Michael and the Said Civil Contractors crew back to build a highly structured, zero-mud play space. This next stage required a lot of technical groundwork to ensure the new recreational area could handle heavy rainfall and daily foot traffic without degrading over time.
Michael and the team carefully planned the logistics to execute complex civil landscaping while minimising noise and disruption to the active school grounds. The combination of structural retention, advanced water management, and high-quality surfacing resulted in a premium outdoor asset for the college.
Scope of The Project
This multifaceted project demanded seamless coordination between our earthworks, concreting, and softscaping teams to manage the site’s natural slope and control stormwater. The team executed precision excavation to remove and export excess soil, establishing a stable subgrade before engineering a heavy-duty, 3-tier sandstone retaining wall. Once the land was properly terraced, we installed comprehensive sub-surface drainage systems, poured connecting concrete pathways, and laid 1,000m² of premium synthetic grass complemented by fresh garden installations.
Project Outcomes
Michael and the team delivered a stunning, multi-tiered outdoor environment that completely transformed the space. The integration of heavy-duty drainage and premium synthetic surfaces ensures the school has a high-performance facility regardless of the weather.
